Also, make certain that the case cooling fan will run at maximum speed, the cooling vents aren't obstructed by dust, and the inside of the case isn't infested with dust bunnies. In particular, don't play Uru with the machine actually on your lap, or on loose papers on your desk or table, or on a pillow or blankets, etc. When you play Uru, make certain that no cooling vents are blocked or partially blocked. Because of the high demands Uru puts on any PC, more heat is generated than otherwise would be the case. If the game doesn't always freeze or if the freezes don't always happen at the same place in the game, your laptop may be overheating.
If the freezes always happen in the same place in the game, it's probably a driver problem.

"(Laptop models of these cards not supported)" The bottom of the US PotS box calls out the above ATI and NVIDIA video card families as being supported and adds Intel Extreme, and further states: The video chipsets found in laptops, even the mobile versions of the supported Nvidia and Radeon chipsets, have had problems running Uru. Uru: ABM does NOT support Intel Extreme or Express graphics chipsets (either laptop or desktop). The bottom of the Uru: ABM box (US version) calls out these same cards as being supported.
